I want to re-wire an SME 3009 series 2 (improved), non-removable head-shell.

Besides the "bay", can someone suggest something?

Thanks in advance.

I rewire my SME's with silver plated wire. Sounds amesome. I get it off the bay already has clips attached. Check ebay the guys name is nobodyworks. $20.00 for the wires.:thmbsp:

parts connexion is another, both them and take five are awesome, take five did my re wire of 3009 series lll......

..........IF it's not tooooo late!!!!????

turntableexperts,,,, on the bay dual parts get a hold of Adam in long Island NY 1-631-765-6470 he's very helpful...ALSO Kevin at KABUSA in NEW JERSEY pretty clever also!!!!!

I liked them so much that I've been doing all my tonearms with them. I just picked up a SME 3009 split weight that I'm wiring with the same wires. :thmbsp:

I redid my SME arm (fixed headshell) with Cardas wire from KABUSA ($4.80/foot), scroll down for "Cardas Tonearm Wire":

http://www.kabusa.com/m1200.htm#cardas

and used Cardas clips from Parts ConneXion ($4.80 per set):

(no affiliation with either)

My only suggestion is to get over twice as much wire as you think you'll need just in case you eff something up. If you braid the wire it'll shorten quite a bit as well.
