I guess I'm in the weeds on this. Tidal is my first streaming service, as I just got a device about a year ago, so this discussion is prime for me. I'm paying 10.99 so it is not their prime level. I have trouble navigating the interface. Simple things like just finding a search icon while listening to a stream. So downloading and setting up Playlists have to wait since I can barely navigate. Their support people didn't seem to know what I was talking about and asked what search function? it should be there when the cut is finished or I pause the play. I have to say that the quality and selection are fine. Algorhythm (sp) selection are not a concern.
BIGGER PICURE: the support group can't walk straight: I'm "Not Connected" on the phone (StreamMagic app)
My device is a Cambridge CXNv2 that requires StreamMagic app with Tidal piggybacked onto the StreamMagic. So there are two interfaces and an Iphone XR involved that have to be happy before I get anything on stream. WTF? When I take out a support ticket, I and they, don't know where to start. Cambridge said to reset the phone to factory settings, blamed Tidal. Well resetting just made it go kablewy. Long story short I uninstalled/reinstalled StreamMagic, Then Tidal was gone. Can't get it back. The appt store on phone is stuck at "loading", I cnx Tidal, and am living with just my vinyl and radio presets on StreamMagic until I subscribe to a new music source, probably Qobuz from what I have seen here.
Edit: I finally got Tidal back and it is working as before,
Also looking for any input on "Roon Ready" which is available on the CXN.
Maybe this thread will get active again, I'm hoping.
Thanks Guys for what I have learned so far today.
