For those with a preference for this, go, man, go. I can see so many reasons for going this route. Let's face it, vinyl is a colossal anus-pain. Takes up space. More machinery needing service. On and on.
It's just not for me. I worked my buns off for this library (digital library is 22terabytes, 3k records, 4k cds) and I'll ride it out all the way.

Twenty five years curry-combing the countryside, my dude. But.....the 22 terabytes? I had....MAYBE....1.5 tb. A friend of mine out in California is in cahoots with some big time collectors.
Suffice to say, an agreement was made, and I came away with just about every SACD and hi-rez file classical, jazz and classic rock has. It was a gamble, it was nerve-wracking, but I am STILL finding stuff.
It was a game changer, for sure. I have also done high resolution vinyl transfers for about 15 years, stuff long out of print and not available elsewhere.
Best of all, I don't have to worry about violent business acquisition, pricing changes, censorship, etc.

Best part about Tidal, the algorithm is FIRE! And I don't think that's due to better coding. But rather, Spotify's algorithm is polluted with payola. Spotify has all kinds of ways for artists and promoters to pay-to-play. Most of what you hear has been paid for.
Tidal doesn't seem to have as many ways to game the algorithm and buy influence. It recommends obscure off-the-wall stuff.

I recently unsubscribed from Tidal.
The pc app just stops playing after anywhere from six to a dozen songs. Have to select the next song to get it to continue, then it will stop again.
The app will also just disappear, see pic, but the music will continue. Have to close the app then restart to get it back....for a while until it does it again.
Been going back and forth with support which didn't solve the problems. I gave up.

That sucks. I have had trouble with the PC interface from time to time. The android app seems more stable actually.
I think Tidal is actually a skin on Chrome, so you might want to try reinstalling Chrome, clearing the cache that kind of thing.
Did all of that. Cleared the notebook cache, Tidal cache, uninstalled then reinstalled both. Didn't help.
For me, like for you, Tidal had become a major PITA so I gave up on it and joined Amazon Music Illimited. Their GUI sucks but the FLACs' SQ is pretty consistent. And moreover, the streams never stop, could go on for a month if one wanted but they'd have to survive a few repeats here and there. What I don't like however, is when they skip the live albums when playing an artist's supposedly whole catalog lest you pick them manually. But that beats Tidal's quirks so I can't complain that much. I would have liked to try Qobuz for its humongous library, but an ignorant person told me the service wasn't available in Canada and I believed her without checking. Turns out the whole Qobuz outfit is available in the country after all, at least in Ontario and Quebec that I know of.
