Today Audiokarma's server experienced a hardware failure. The site is back up, but we are currently still assessing and repairing the damage. More then likely a few posts were lost. We apologize for the inconvenience, but it was unforeseen.

You seem to have done quite well.

With a limited budget, you can't have the sort of hot backup and roll-forward that a big-bucks corporate site would use.

Thanks! AK Withdrawal syndrome is a tough thing here. Love AK and it's membership. Heroic effort getting the site back up. We wish you godspeed and success on solving the issues with the hardware. :tresbon:

Had to clean out 1/2 the garage so my wife could get her car in there so I wouldn't have to get up early to clear off the snow.
Not a total loss though I was adrift for a while.

Strong Recovery

I have felt the apprehension when drives have gone belly-up on server(s) in the City where I work. Heart never stops till it's up, running and the files restored. Still there is apprehension for a while after.

I've got 105 threads bookmarked concerning cleaning, recapping, troubleshooting, lighting, and some miscellaneous stuff. Only one doesn't work (seems to be gone). Whew!

I will have to spend some time saving all this reference material.

Thanks for getting the site back up. Something wasn't right late last night. Pictures were loading at dial up speeds half the time. I felt something bad was in the works. I need to subscribe. For the benefit of AK and myself.
