JBL tried to compete for a while but did not win the Pricer/Perfomance (bang for buck) contests with Klipsch.
So now now your are simply name dropping an even more expensive speaker you don't own with Zero points made about correcting the incorrect general comment about Vented Loudspeakers. Line arrays are the Phaseyest of Crap (wind blowing outdoors) compared to Danley Sound Labs' Jericho horns. So the words remain off topic, and still wrong.
There is no "despair" on the part of Klipsch owners, and they certainly do not need your "support" to enjoy good sound. The only feathers that appear to be ruffled here are yours. Nice try on a save, but it's still a miss.
Again, there is Zero workable data presented here that will help the Original Poster answer his questions. So how about you give that a try instead, or just bow out gracefully on this topic you have limited experience with, which is "Improving Bass on a Cornwall."

I'm not sure I believe that comment from a fellow Jubehead, but OK. I talked to Bob (RIP) a few years back, and he said the Aluminum Horns he made from the K600 (Cornwall horns) mold and he said they were selling well in Japan and Asia.I had no clue
So now Michael Crites owns 3 of the 4 molds from Klipsch's former supplier and is able to produce K400, k600, and K700 Horns for those who want them, now with the "Crites" name on the horns.
I had a conversation with Gary Gillum in 2008 and he was surprised that Klipsch was using the K700 horn on the Cornwall, rather the ReFurbish the K600 mold like Crites finally did.
Back to improving bass on a Cornwall, it's more like many comments about improved Bass occurring when all these guys upgrade to sMAHL tweeters, which is counterintuitive, but there are others, including Bass Players that have commented in the same fashion when they got a better tweeter. After all the Harmonics from a Bass (upright or electric) go all the way up the scale, so I can see where it makes sense when it comes from bass Reproduction on any speakers, even the Cornwall. DaveTN is the Tractrix man!

As do I. (several pairs before and one now). I never heard a complaint about Cornwall bass from anyone else, but hey, we all have different ROOMS, which is likely the problem 99% of the time.
The Dynaudio's and JBL 26s may have "more" bass but I doubt they have lower bass. The Klipsch are probably designed to play flat down to 38hz. The other speakers probably have a slight peak in their design curve between 50hz and 80hz.This is the chest pounding sound that people percieve as bass. Manufacturers do this so their speaker stands out at the audio store among other speakers. I just heard a pair of Cornwall IIs yesterday and have never heard LOWER bass.
Cornwalls get doe to 30 Hz. convingingly.

the B3 network was what was used in the later CW 1’s and all II’s as far as I know.

The B-3 was the last of the Cornwall 1 crossovers used. The Cornwall 2 has it’s own crossover.
I have owned Cornwall 1s with the B and B-3 networks, and Cornwall 2s. I did not care for the B network Cornwalls and was able to compare the B-3 and Cornwall 2 versions for some time before modding the Cornwall 2s with a Chorus 2 midhorn.
Even though the tweeters and crossovers were different in the last version of the Cornwall 1 and the Cornwall 2 the sound signature was remarkably similar. The engineers at Klipsch voiced them incredibly close considering the stark change of tweeters.

Ok I finally ripped apart my livingroom & got to the left speaker: here are some pics inside. Kind of confusing with all that red wire, I wish they'd used different colors?
But do the connections look correct?
I've since fastened the black woofer wire up better: it was barely attached under the screw. And added some sharpie red/black to the ends of the white wires, which you can see in the closeup. If you click the images they should expand to full res. Thanks!!

It’s been recapped, but that appears to be correct for a Type B crossover.

Yes, that looks all right. It's a Type B crossover. I would get some spade connectors to clean up the connections of the wire to the terminal strip.

And here's the Right speaker. I should have soldered the woofer tabs like the Left. Maybe I'll pull everything apart again & redo those spades too.
Everything looks consistent between L/R to me? And I did see the Klipsch panel, which explains the wiring clearly
*edit: I rotated the R images so orientation is the same as L, easier to compare

Argh, I forgot to take a pic of the R speaker wiring. But it was hooked up properly.
One of the speaker screws had been replaced with a coarse wood screw, which seized inside the female piece & was stripped & spinning loose inside. I had to use bolt cutters to get the stupid thing out. Distracted me!
I suppose those caps should have heat shrink to support the soldered joints

The round terminal cup was not on the Cornwall 1s. The backs don’t come off these speakers, correct?
