Got this from eBay with a BIN price of 145 ! Not sure if its all there but the guy said he bought it new in late 70's early 80's, and after a couple years it went bad and took it to a shop in Modesto California and they did crap job and he refused to pay them and took it home and it sat on the shelf since. He said all the goop( thermal paste) was from them.

So, I hope I got a good deal and if not It will be a nice learning experience and hopefully not a nightmare like the video's I watched of Xraytony on youtube trying to repair one. He is a pro tech whereas I am just a measly
restaurant owner who messes around with this **** for fun.

Here are pics of the incoming unit .

First thing.. Test all the 2SA1095's and 2SC2565's ( outputs and rail switching transistors )

Don't rupture that pack of thermal compound that resides in the top of the bonnet. in the
aluminum packet. It will make a big mess.. Take my word for it..

If they are there.....I cant tell from the eBay pictures . It shipped out today from coast of California and headed all the way across the country to me on the shores of Lake Erie .

Working on a pioneer SX-990 now that someone did a hack job on.

Looks like they are there from this blown up image. I can see the pins , but man it looks like they aren't soldered well .
