Infinity Kappa 9's - Goes against core design principals?

I’m just curious why you posted all of this and never followed up sharing any information, specifics on your Crossover Design nor any further thoughts on your listening impressions ?

Those look like some spendy crossovers, what was the total cost breakdown for the parts ?

Are these the ones that were for sale for like $7-8K awhile back on eBay ?

I see these for sale forever , he was asking way to much imho.

these speakers gone up in price but I bought a mint (and I do mean mint, rebuild polydomes by Millersound) no scrates or scuffs on the cabinets.

kappa 9 for lot less
 
I just think it’s a bummer that no information was shared in the work he performed. Anytime someone goes to that extent rebuilding Infinity higher end crossovers, and your showing it off why not disclose what you’ve done with other owners-members here ya know ?

Who cares, he was asking 7k no matter how well you rebuild it.. that’s way to much. Some think these classics are super gold or something ..
 
My thing is there is no money in buying, modding, reselling....Unless they are super rare, and then you would never mod, just restore....

everyone usually wants to restore themselves because everyone has different taste...Wallet size, etc...

whole thing seems weird, go through all that work and not keep them...?...?

as I said I saw those for way to much money offered, still he might have sold them ..

Have just recapped them put them back together and kept his wallet a bit closer to him. Unless he kept them


Also he defeated the purpose of the ribbed fluted sides those were not there for just looks. It’s a part of its design.
 
What do the ribs do? I saw where someone had removed them due to damage and just painted the sides black, or re-veneered them. Do they have some sonic benefit it regards to diffraction etc.?
