Infinity loudspeakers, real or fake?

Today I bought a set of bookshelf sized Infinity loudspeakers.
They sound better than my B&W loudspeakers but I wonder they're real Infinity's, or not?

Can someone help me out?

I'm no expert with the Infinity line, but those look like custom cabinets.

Pull the drivers and research the part numbers. See if they reference back to a specific model.

The absence of any grill pegs or holes is an obvious indication that these are not production cabinets. Most likely someone pulled the drivers from an Infinity cabinet to build their own. I'm not familiar with the tweeter (I've seen it before but can't remember what model) but it looks like Infinity's version of the ubiquitous polycarbonate tweeter. Probably from the 1990s or early 2000s.

Those look like the drivers from an Infinity Sterling SS2001 or SS2002, or possibly RS125 or 225, but the cabinet looks custom to me.

If they are pleasing to your ear, enjoy them. Good luck finding out, but I'd venture it's a one-off set of cabs.

Infinity had those tweeters in their smallest RS cabinets... but, they were a black cone. Hmmmm... these are quite unique/odd. This could be drivers pulled from a very late 1990's to earliest 2000's model.

Thanks for the help.
Surely I'll pull the drivers to check the part numbers. The set sound nice though, clear high, good bass, but they can't handle much watt's. I connected these loudspeakers with a Sansui AU-X501 and have to keep the amplifier at half its output.
I'll come back when I know what speakers are mounted in the set.

No, Infinity is a real brand... I've seen a few pairs with my own eyes... Tan-colored, with holes and squares in the middle.

Looks like an RS125 tweeter that someone used in a project. Very nice looking cabinets imo.

I have this exact set at home/nothing is custom...they are great little speakers i use in my guest bedroom...i picked them up for $20 pair...Not their high end(of course), but a punchy sound they have to them, a wee bit bright as well

What is interesting to me is there appears to be no acoustic damping material inside the cabinet.

there usually wouldn't be on the inside of the front baffle of a ported enclosure.
