Is Paris Hilton an AKer?

I'LL never tell..... Even if I knew, which I DON'T... Yes, Joe Walsh is a Ham, & has never tried to hide the fact. He DOES own one of the MOST coveted radios in Hamdom, a Hallicrafters SX-88. They are just reputed to be VERY good, & there weren't many made back in 1953-55, or so. Last one I know of changed hands for a tad north of $5K. They are supposed to be BRILLIANT performers, & have a WONDERFUL "Toooby" sound.

Paris Hilton is a money grubbing excuse for a woman. Just check out her latest stunt with an airplane that is supposedly going to crash. :thumbsdn:

Jeff Beck likes building Hot Rods.

There is a story behind this license plate number. :D

Logically, it's someone who posts on the Tubes, Solid State, or DIY forums and has technical questions or answers, and who no other AKer has ever met in person.

I notice that Frannie aka Bugel Girl is pretty silent. hmmm. :scratch2:

Just kidding Frannie. It actually could make sense. She was brought up in a house that had access to the finest equipment available. Perhaps she grew up listening to WE 300B units, etc. now that she's grown and had some fun being a little wild, she wants some semblence of when things were easier and more comfortable, away from the limelight. Perhaps she used to listen to music with grandpa Hilton and it's a way to reconnect.

If Paris Hilton is an AK member does anyone have an ideas on whom her username might be?

I wonder if she has ever made a post on the Introductions forum if she really is a forum member?.

As far as I know, there's only been ONE "Sort-Of" celebrity here, a fella called Anden. He was Sterling Hayden's son. Sterling was a character actor back in the Fifties thru the Seventies, his most "Famous" role was in "Dr Strangelove", he was the mad USAF general who sent his planes to bomb Russia. He was matched up w/Peter Sellers, & held his own in scenes w/both of them. Anden hasn't posted in a long time. I had a few PMs back forth w/him, he seemed to be a regular sort of fella. There COULD be others, but maybe they just prefer to remain "Anoymous"...

There's at least one pretty famous musician who is (or was) a member. Blanking on who it is, though.

It's possible. The character of Phoebe on 'Friends' was played by Lisa Kudrow, who earned a BS in Biology from Vassar, and did research into cluster headaches.

The only way most of us know these public figures is by what the media tells us. Hard to say what they are really like...

Claude Van Damme had a PhD in Chemistry before he ever started acting.

Seriously, if Paris Hilton, or any other celebrity, were a member here, there is no way they would reveal themselves. Especially one who has cultivated such a controversial character. Privacy is usually the most fleeting commodity that this people can hope for.

We do seem to have a lot of posts about bacon. The Bacon Brothers are a musical group and we do have a very knowledgeable pig on the forum. :scratch2:

Sterling was a big man who often played a "Heavy". Something about him, though, caused Stanley Kubrick to cast him in a few of his films. Kubrick typically had a small group of actors that he went to over & over. Clint Eastwood was/is the same way-That kinda "Squirrelly" little guy, Geoffrey Lewis, has been in a BUNCH of Eastwood's movies.
