Is this SPEAKER WIRE an AWESOME choice ?

Looks to be pretty decent stuff and the price is great... Go for it.
I ordered some tonight ...
Going to replace all of the cheap aluminum copper clad wire I've been using for the last year..
I didn't realize that these days a lot of the wire sold is copper clad aluminum ..
I was stuck in the 1980s believing that if it looked like copper it was LOL.....
The last time I purchased good speaker wire was 2008 that I use on my Main home theater surround sound, back then I spent what I thought was decent money for real copper....
Now I can get all my precious ohm acoustics and Technics receivers wired up with some better wire.

Interesting. When you get the stuff, cut and strip the end so we can see all 12 gauge of copper.

I’m sure it’s fine.

I use 12awg low voltage lighting wire and it’s sounds as good as any high dollar wire I’ve tried.

Good luck

Eric

The boutique guys are not going to want to hear that. Actually, I've read some professional reviewers who say the same thing. They can hear subtle differences if the gauge difference is extreme. Otherwise, similar gauge wire sounds the same.

This is supposed to be silver clad 99.9% pure oxygen free copper...
So I will try to scrape some of the silver and then do this trick from the video... With a lighter flame.

Silver cladding takes advantage of skin effect. Silver is more conductive than copper although the trade off is less resistance (pun intended) to corrosion which effects conductivity. Very interesting article on copper vs. silver:

It's described as "silver tinned", not silver plated. Meaning the copper has been tinned with something similar to silver solder. Since the silver content is probably very low, 3-4%, oxidation should not be a problem. Done to keep the copper from oxidizing in a car environment. Skin effect is a non issue at even the highest audio frequencies.

So, eye candy and a nice talking point. The price is right and the wire looks the business so good enough even if they sound the same.

If it is what it says it is, silver clad pure copper, that seems to be a great price on good cable.
I bought a spool of Radio Shack wire a while back, it was 50% pure copper, and 50% silver clad copper. Paid about $29.95 for 25 feet if I remember correctly.
I've read where silver can cause a "bright" sound. The RS wire did indeed make my system sound brighter.

Idunno about that $30 speaker wire. I’ve been taught you have to atom aligning parallel lithium polymer l batteries, pure silver braided in a exact 45 degree angle $10,000 speaker wire or ya might miss a flea fart.;)

Ah yes that is how its done. Dont forget to call the electric company and have your own personal line ran too. Cmon these are the basics. My mids suffered until I coughed up the $320,000 to have them install a new line. Finally I have my mids back again in my PYLE speakers I got at the flea market.

I'm assuming you replaced all the wire in your PYLEs with solid silver, the caps with film and silver foil Teflon and last but not least, silver foil air core inductors.

Mine is not tinned the op's, is do you think it will effect his wire in a negative way?

Nope. I'm firmly in the camp that believes how the wire is terminated on each end is just as important as the wire. I like to crimp and then solder, allowing the solder to flow through the terminal's crimp. Then comes the heatshrink for that finishing touch. Nice gold spade lugs insure plenty of contact between post and cable. Amazing how many assembled speaker cables have crappy terminations, electrically and mechanically.

No not really, was just saying tinned wire is used for corrosion resistance. I have no comment on its musical properties.
