Its starting

Nah, the drivers aren't secret, it's the XO that's the special sauce. :)

Dayton RS270
Dayton RS52
Hiquphon OW1

Here's the rear view with crossovers (built by Ray) and the drivers mounted and wired up.

I have the stuffing (polyfill held by 3M 77) and the baffles glued in, they are clamped in place until the glue dries.

Nice! How much stuffing did you use?

So you decided to glue the back on, I want all those screws back please.

Dunno how much stuffing I ended up using. I had a bag for one pillow, and plan on using 1/2 in each box. It comes to between an inch or two all along the way.

I glued the ports in, not the back.... what do I owe ya for the screws? They are pretty baller.

Well maybe if the 77 is holding the back in.... I do wonder if I did glue the back on...

I finished up the right speaker tonight and connected it to one side of my F5 and left the Cornwall on the other. Due to the different sensitivity (100 vs 90) I had to set the balance leaning towards Big Bob, but otherwise they are on an equal.

Oh dear, it's a good thing I need the Cornwalls for my SET amp or I'd be listing them.

Big Bob is more detailed, the Hiquphon tweeter is much clearer than the CT125 of the Cornwalls. And its not lacking in the bass end either. Overall a cleaner, more responsive speaker.

Nice Jeff.

I think that's the left speaker though:D

Naw, I just have to move some stuff around, not a big deal.

I ran out of polyfill last night, so I didn't get the "other" one finished.

I'm glad I held on to those Polk stands!

Looking good! Never heard of those tweeters before. How much woyld you estimate the total build cost to be?

I haven't kept track. Ray and I did a swap thing when I built his F5 and I think he gets a discount from parts express.

But I'm thinking around $600 or so if you were to order the parts and buy the BB plywood. I'm also going to owe my cabinet guy several beers that haven't been paid for as of yet.
