Jamo is a Danish brand.
They sold well in Europe.....but never made much of an impact in the US.
Decent speakers for the money.....that tend to run WELL under the radar.

CBR stands for "Center Bass Reflex"; basically, the woofer is mounted in the center of a large port in the enclosure. I have added a scan from an '88 Jamo catalog that briefly explains the principle. In this catalog however, the CBR90 does not appear. The only series mentioned to use the CBR principle is the "Digital" series, so I can't help you further with specs.

A bit more about CBR70 from Jamo

I did a bit research online.

Jamo(a Klipsch Group Company) CBR-70 speakers, made in Denmark in 1986. Rated power 70 watts, Music power 100 watts, impedance 4-8 ohms.
H 19", W 9.5", D 8".
Small bookshelf speakers made in Denmark during the mid 80's
Has some very clever engineering:
- Cabinet molded out of "inherently nonresonant material".
- Asymetrical shape, reduces standing waves.
- Slanted front panel, time aligns the drivers.
- Central bass reflex, vent surrounds the woofer for more even pressure.
- Overload protection.
So far, I'm very satisfied with these speakers. It just deliver the right right sound to my ear....
