what an incredible little, postage stamp sized club The Cellar Door used to be. Even when seated in the balcony, it seemed like you could almost drop something right on the stage. As this recording done by Miles there indicates, it drew absolutely top shelf, world class acts to perform there, and tickets to such shows weren't easy to come by. I was fortunate enough to see dozens of shows there, but none more rousing than the night of my 25th birthday, when Brand X- Phil Collins, John Goodsall, Percy Jones, and Robin Lumley- absolutely scorched the place. Hence, the record below, which is as much of a staple for me as Gazeuse!
