Just in . . .

I saw the Jan Hammer Group at a small club in Chicago a month after this show on the "First Seven Days" tour in '75 and they practically played the entire album and tunes from the "Like Children" album. On this cd they chose to add more of the latter and only "Darkness in Search of the Sun" & "The Sixth Day" making this is phenomenal listen nonetheless . . . They end the show with "I Remember Me" where classical music meets intense fusion . . . Hammer, Kindler, Saunders & Smith were on fire!

That line-up with Saunders and Smith was stellar, they toured with Beck during this era, and he lent his magic to these very songs, and man, Steven Kindler is a very underappreciated violin player.
