I reached out earlier today to gain some info.

the owner says he has owned them for a week and only bought to resale. I asked about what looked like the wrong midrange and the seller responded with "no idea. They sound good to me!"

Wtf?

I made a solid cash offer to get some back and.forth going and he responded with a "LoL" response.

I really want the speakers but the seller is acting like a..... Oh well.

So, he's a flipper who doesn't give a sh*t about audio. If that's his attitude, other collectors will be turned off too. Just wait a bit to see if he lowers his price, since he's in it just to make a few bucks...

Unfortunately yes.

I couldn't have said it better myself

If you feel $2500 is too much, you don't have to buy them ...
They are JBL 4 way studio monitor - the 4315b generally sells for quite a few bucks,
and have drivers not available elsewhere (except the slot tweeter).

It is more than the price in this situation however if they were cheaper it would help. Saying all of that the sellers interaction is what has left a bad taste in my mouth. I even offered a few receivers with no response. Oh well...love another day.

Those have been up there for over 2 years. He keeps reposting them. I have tried several times to buy them, even agreed to his price and then Crickets! The ad really needs to be flagged. I am not sure what his goal is, fishing for other gear maybe, but from what I can tell they are not for sale! If they even exist!!!!

Maybe like a couple of ads around Detroit showing Mc and Marantz stacked up, ... two years and he still hasn't sold anything I think he's just lonely and needs email.

Better than MRG anyway!
