I hear ya. There comes a point you just have to stop counting. Granted, that's easier said than done when half of your double digit collection consists of models that are over five feet tall.

I suspect those 250's are gonna sound spectacular gettin juiced by all that tube power. I didn't notice...what pre will you be using, Dan?

I think the B&W are one hell of an ugly speaker sorry to any owners of. After all they are part of your home. Thats why I might lean towards a light tope color like sand stone with tan or white grill fabric. Light color will blend with the room and reduce visual mass.

With the power handling capabilities of these speakers you may want to reconsider your choice in amps. I have heard many times that these speakers are not very tube friendly. My experience says otherwise. I only say this is because these speakers are rated to 400w/channel. Depending on your listening habits your amp may not be capable of driving these speakers to their potential. Any who, the last bit I have to offer is that the more you give them the more they like it. They like a whole lot of room and take a bit to get going. Congrats on your new edition. Hope you love yours as much as every other owner does.

Pair of Threshold S/600 powering the 250Ti woofers and the Mcintosh 275 for the rest. <<< Should be illegal!!!

I have a Mcintosh C100 two MC 275 MkVI mono blocked

Mcintosh 275: 75WPC, 8ohms x 2 = 150WPC, 300WPC bridged.
JBL L250: 90db, 8ohms, away from walls, listened to 12 feet away.
Produced SPL = 103.5db (106.5db bridged)
 
Do not under estimate the 275 MkVi these rip mono blocked. I have never heard any of my SS systems go this loud and clear. They turned my SP-5000 into a different speaker and the walls inside out.

Panda the 75w is under rated, they are 90w x 2 @ 16ohms per speaker
 
Unlike the Ti version, the 250s are walnut, not teak. They need some minimal feet to protect the bottom corners. And I'd replace the few electrolytic caps that they have. Those will be lovely when you're done!
 
Harman/Kardon HK6900: 312WPC, 4ohms
Acoustic Research AR-11B: 86db, 4ohms, in corners, listened to 6 feet away.
Produced SPL = 114.7db

Ya I saw the ones you did they are lovely and posted the link here. I might mount a painted black 1/2" MDF board to the bottom a 1/2" smaller than the cabinet.This base will slid around on carpet good. They are indeed walnut but kind of look teak color in the photos, will see for sure tomorrow.

Borrowed a pair of Bryston 7B 's and cannot imagine anything that could get better than this. since my 250Ti's have been modded for a dual amp set up. maybe two pairs would be better.

I get that SPL from my 125w B&K st1400, Bryston 7B, B&K Sonata series M200, SAE MARK IIIA. Although I will say that this kind of SPL is very bad for your hearing, it is sofaking awesome to feel the raw power at your fingertips. Speaking of raw power, this is what these speakers demand. I will also say that the best sound stage I have ever heard was through my Ti's on some tubes.
