JBL L 250 A New Addition To My System

The Sansui is 110WPC in 8Ohms. Doesn't make a significant difference. Better just stick to the 275s.

Anything above 100db at 12 feet is just INSANE LOUD!!! If you sit 8 feet away you will hear louder than a Rock Band live in front of you.
 
Panda were do my SP-5000 fall in you calculations? you posted the stats on that speaker before but not with the amps.
(1) 15" woofer
(2) 6.5" low midranges
(2) 4" high midranges
(2) 2.5" horn-type tweeters
Sensitivity = 102db/watt
8 ohm system (6 to 15 range with no loss of efficiency)
Frequency range = 30 - 20,000 (at Anechoic Chamber)
Frequency range = 25 - 20,000 (at Normal Listening room)
Dimensions = 19.25" Wide x 32.6" High x 16.6" Deep
Weight = 90.3 pounds
Finish = Oiled walnut (also with the wood fretwork grilles)

Depending on how far I move them from the wall I'll be in the 8' distance at least.:thmbsp: I would hate to buy another amp or god forbid my SP-5000s sound better or louder

They Sansui will get louder much easier but will fall apart where the JBL L250Ti will still stand proudly. Keyword is POWER HANDLING.

You will feel castrated when the mighty Mcintosh 275s are eaten like snacks by the JBLs. But you are old enough to handle the trade off of better sound for loudness.

Oh no way. Im not ready to grab a pipe and slippers yet buddy. I'll be looking at Mac power amps.

That's the point I have been trying to make to others. The Sansui SP-5000 don't fall apart they just keep going up in clear volume. All the while the base knocks the wind out of you.

But anyway this is at insane volumes that really have no practical listening need. Unless Im sitting in the living room of the house across the street.
 
Those SP5000a must have good power handling to keep composure that loud. And 4 boxes are enough for 140.4db if you stand 3 feet away (don't).

I can't wait for a JBL vs Sansui shootout!

I know this has nothing to do with the L250s But I don't think a lot of people know the difference between two speakers Sansui made with a like name.

Alright, these Kabuki jet engine loud monsters vs the JBL flagship designed by Greg Timbers. Powered by Mcintosh. I can't wait to see the outcome. :D
