you're gonna love them. i bought a set for $40.00 at an antique store refoamed the woofers and they sound fantastic. cabinets and grills in great shape. steve

I stand by my assertion...:D But i will change teh wording for posterity...i dont like its tone....sorry..:)

Around here PNW I got 300 & 325 both took about a week to sell. One pair was about a 9of 10 the other about 8.5 of 10. If in Seattle prolly got more. l100 sold for 450, the l166 sounded much better, but just ok for me. That's why they were sold. But my L112's are defiantly not for sale (keeper pile). I guess location plays a big part. Unless you sell on Eprey then 600 on a nice pair would seem fairly average.

Had my old pair up for sale for a while...finally went for 250. They were initially listed for 375 brought down to 300. Was still happy made a nice profit.

that was me-
i passed on the "deal" but not before i scored KLH-1's for 50 bucks!
the surrounds on the 166's had been replaced but on the wrong side of the cone-
front glued rather that backside as originals were.
i thought that it would hurt the resale....

Actually the OP on this one was janikphoto

my bad-thought it was one i started.

Yeah... Not the same speakers. These ones had the "surrounds" taped on the correct side. Look back through this thread, and you'll see the previous owner used some sort of fabric by the yard stuff that was purchased at a craft store to make new surrounds.

Was thinking about the "cloth" repair job on these (I have since acquired them, and agree..WOW)..and in case that nice couple reads AK..I would just like to say THANK YOU for even attempting a repair. I cannot count the times my heart has been broken, finding awesome speakers at the usual "haunts", only to find Radio Shack, or some sort of car audio woofers in the boxes. Kudo's to this couple for the effort, and saving them!
