I have a pair of L80t3 speakers. Very versatile and fine sounding. Cabinet construction started to suffer and the veneer is very thin, but the drivers are high quality.

If they use the same driver complement as the studio monitor and especially if the studio monitor came out first (4311/L100, 4411/L112) then it is certainly accurate to say the L-model is the home-version of the studio monitor. To insist otherwise is simply some sort of semantic masturbation.
Wrong again. The L80t looks nothing like any monitor series other than sharing some drivers. Now about your semantic masturbation comment, I'll let you go there yourself. Have fun.

I see you have the need to be "right". Very bad karma. Obviously a "home-version" would include a different cabinet. Not sure what you're trying to accomplish but the point is if someone has a pair of L80Ts and is wondering what he's got, he has the functional equivalent of a 4410 in a floor-standing cabinet with the exact complement of drivers. Now as the owner of two pair of L80Ts converted with T3 crossovers, I'll admit the networks are not the same as the 4410 or 4410A but they're certainly keepers.
So what's your point? This isn't like whether or not the showroom-version of a Camry is the same as the NASCAR version.
