Eh, we'll just sprinkle a few Peavey's in our CL auction and the general CL surfer will never know the difference. :thumbsdn:

I caught that too... funny.. but a shame there isn't a pair of anything there you can see, but he does say multiples not shown... looks like odds and ends to me.. but, there are some nice drivers there.

I think I'd be going to take a look if I was close. I have a feeling though they are more valuable to him than they are to someone who knows what they are really worth.

Post falls theater closed our doors. I am liquidating the equipment. All of these speakers are in excellent condition and I have multiples of what is shown here as well as 51 surround sound speakers not shown. I will entertain any reasonable offer and would be happy to arrange a time when you can view them up close. I am very motivated to sell them. Cash talks. Please email me with questions. Most of the speakers are JBL and retail from $850 - $1400. I tell you this so you know that a reasonable offer is not $50. Thanks. I would love for them to go to a School, Church, or Band... but whoever has the $$ gets a great deal.

I went fishing, to see what a good deal was. The guy emailed back & said he is expecting around 800 apiece. The the theater opened up around 1996. Closed recently. I'm suspecting they got round 8hrs of use every day since then. Them places do get loud at times. So Basicly over around 40,000hrs of use (At minimums), around 16yrs in service.
Near the end of the road for these bad boys, or is he a little off base? Believe me this area is vary short on audio nuts (me included), once over the $300 limit, the interest is slim.
Not to mention if your married, try & get these industrial looking beasts in your living room without a fight.

Very realistic evaluation, i agree completely. Short of an encounter with one of Barnum's fools who actually has the money, the seller is a long way from a sale.

I still can't figure out what he actually has, even after asking for a list. He sent me a list of all sorts of movie theater stuff (not speakers) that went with the deal. I have absolutely no idea what the stuff is (lens adapters, film rewinders? I really have no idea and no desire to buy a bunch of obsolete cinema equipment). I never did get a list of the speakers, or even a single model number, but I offered what I thought was a fair amount anyway and didn't even get a reply. BTW, it's an auction, why hasn't somebody flagged it? Because I have an (unaknowledged) offer in I didn't think it was right for me to flag it, but I'm surprised it's still up.

I flagged it for "taking offers".

This guy is never gonna get what he thinks these are worth anyway. I think $300 would be a pretty reasonable offer in a place where there isn't much interest. And that's a lot of weight for shipping.

I offered several times that amount and didn't even get a response back. The truck rental and gas, hotel etc would have cost me another $1000 or so. Now I'm glad he ignored me.
