Just rescued a Forsell Air Reference Turntable

It's way off-topic, but a GSP just won best-in-show last night. Beautiful dog.
 
Sound really nice with a basic cartridge and not much setup. Need to spend a few hours setting it up, making sure its level, adjust tracking force etc etc. Ill report back once its completely dialed in.
 
Will need to connect a grounding wire to the tonearm as I missed it. Also noticed today that the box with the electronics cant be on the same surface as the turntable since the slight vibration from the pumps seem to transfer to the cartridge. Go figure.

Been using the table for a bunch of months and though I would provide and update. Just fitted a new Sumiko cartridge and it's sounding better than ever. It really stands out in my collection and everyone that sees this gem is always amazed. I've yet to see another one come up for sale on the internet so I'm thinking it's pretty rare. A fellow AK user was kind enough to send me the instruction manual which revealed a few things I didn't know about the table. Some day I might sell it to fund a few new projects so stay tuned for all those the PMd me about selling it.
 
That is a stunning TT. I'm glad you managed to get it operable. Things were looking a little iffy when you first started this thread with the 'find'. LOL

Put me on that list, this is one of the very few tables I'v seen on this site that would make me a bit jealous over what I have. Not knowing if it's better or not, It's a table I would love to use and own. It's right up my ally and now you even put a Sumiko on it, you have great taste.
