From a quick flip through the service manual, looks pretty average. Belt drive transport with a whole load of fresh air going on inside the case 
Probably sounds ok (if not, will need belts) but it really depends on what you paid for it - you can get great decks for very little $ still - this one is from the dying days of cassette.
