Kamakiri - The Next Chapter

I don't know you personally Tim but it is good for me to know that you have spread some good karma to that family when they needed it. I hope it comes back to you in many good ways.

Tim,

Are you anywhere near North Tonawanda (sp)? have friends from there.

Your personal story is one we Americans, can take pride in.....we all are special people, a very proud people at that!

I'm about 15 miles to the South, near the Buffalo Airport, in Cheektowaga. I knew NT very well, had a lot of friends there....

One Blast from the Past Deserves Another

Hi Tim, I was visiting my old friend Ron [spkrman57] a few days ago and we got to chatting about AK and your name came up. He said you were having a tough time. I had no idea. So sorry to hear but happy you're on the rebound. Mighty generous gesture to help those folks out, I'm sure you've made a friend for life. Haven't posted on AK in a couple of years as there isn't anything new [or even much going on] on the audio front for me: Same system for the last 5 years. It'll warm your [vintage] heart to know I did pick up a 1974 Marantz 2215b receiver from Ron. I'm remodeling my 10 year old's bedroom and putting togther his 1st system. Pairing the receiver to my Signet sl260 bookshelf speakers [on lead-filled stands] and a Pioneer DV-400 CDP, coupled with an old run of Silverline Audio cables and Grover Hoffman 7 interconnects. No aftermarket power cords, sticking with the OEM - grin. :D System sounds wonderful. Good to see your moniker back on AK. Take care -

MikE

Thanks for asking Alan. Here's a recent photo of Marquise, Jaden and Julian after their one mile race. The youngest, Jaden [4], actually beat his brother [Julian] - 9:57 to 10:03 for 2nd.

With the difficult economic climate we all face, I've had to concentrate all of my efforts on my job and staying afloat. This winter was hell, but things are starting to break just a bit. Sales are down here bigtime, but at least I still have a job, and for that I'm thankful.

Same house, same car, same me.......and different girlfriend

This entire story makes me stop and once again realize that there are always bigger things in life than ourselves. Your kindness and enduring spirit should be a shining example for all to follow. Karma is made and not necessarily won, I do believe Sir you have an extrordinady amount of Karma coming to you. Glad to see you weather the storm and come out on top. Glad to see you back here at AK! All The Best DOK!

Kind of a funny day today was.....for some reason I decided to Google my name, and look over my past accomplishments....when AK first started and the years that followed, in work, other things......then realized that I really do kind of miss being the wind in the sails of something. Maybe it's time for the next frontier somehow, what exactly remains a mystery to me, but the time has come for....something.

Hanging around here today, and hopefully a bit more (even though I say that now and again), I've seen that the spirit of AudioKarma is still alive and well as it always has been....and to that, the credit must go to Grumpy.

Dave, you do one hell of a job with the place....moreso than anyone else could. I'm proud to call you my friend.
