Facebook been full of it lately ...even seen things vanish before my eyes ....... i don't even want to try and understand any of it ,,i did happen to see a bit and i can only say his key is not in tune .

He may have, but the sales figures?

IF his sales are, indeed, that high then his music is reaching a lot more young people (I presume) than other more worthy (IMHO) genres.

Not sure how accurate your hi-fi has to be to reproduce 'music' that is mostly artificial? I wonder what percentage of his music is actually heard through a home system versus a phone and earbuds?

REPREHENSIBLE behavior.

Until people stop going to his concerts, buying his music and watching KK and her clan, he has no reason to stop.

He knows that every time he pulls something like this, it's good for a ton of free publicity, packed concerts and another million downloads.

I have exactly NONE of his 'music' and never will.

There is FAR too much good music out there to spend time with Kanye ...
he sampled King Crimson (21st Century Schizoid man) in his song "Power" at one point ...
(and not in a good way ... a pretty direct, but paid for lift of Greg Lake's vocal).

True that. He's also sampled the doors multiple times and steely dan. And TONS of soul. I mean it's a pop-art, millennial impulse. I don't think anyone can argue he's a good guy, but he's got a great sense of vision, he embodies the ethic of a lot of black America, and like it or not he's the music of my generation.

He's a great producer, say what you will! I suspect that most of you in this thread just don't like rap in general. Which is cool, we all have our preferences. But picking out Ye in particular is like saying "Duke Ellington sucks" when I really mean I don't care for jazz. (Hee heee I'm gonna get myself some trouble from that comment)
