Kegger Schematics Mega Thread

hey Primo, the 'rfb' of 120kOhm is also the plate load for the driver. B+ all supplied through the OPT's primary.

It is a means of simplifying the PS, and delivering plate to grid based on the U-L tap location. One of the early ones I did this way was built with the Z565 and some 1619 finals( a nice liddle DH beam tube ). The circuit works best with a pentode driver, and I recall many discussions with Paul over his use of triodes. The higher their plate resistance the better, which is reflected in the 6SL7...

Now I have seen amps built with E-Linear 5687 and 12B4...which should be less than optimal, but when paired with the right speakers have done quite well.

I've been trying to find info on an amp design Kegger and someone else worked on. It can be built to use 6L6', el34's or or kt88's with a bit of tweeking for each tube type. Its PP using a single compactron per channel for drivers. I found a little info from another site, but not enough to build one. I think it was born out of a PP compactron amp design. Anyone have any info on it?
 
Where are the Kegger schematics? I can only find bits and pieces in various threads and when I find a link to a schematic it doesn't work. Clicking on the link pops up an error saying I have to be logged in, even though I am logged in. Has his legacy material been removed or somehow locked?

Thanks for the reply. I was looking for a parallel single ended EL84 amp that I found linked in some long lost thread. I'm wanting to do what you are planning to do. I've made many EL84 guitar amps and want to do something for general audio using this tube. I'm sure there must be circuit changes other than simply adding output tubes. My OP xformers are 5k primaries and I'm unsure that they would work with PSEUL.
 
There are many more informed people than I that can help you but I do have some answers for you. You’re OPT will work for one EL84 when you parallel output tubes you halve the primary so it would need to be 2.5K. I’ll look on my computer when I get home and pm you my thread where I was questioning Kegger’s schematic on a PSEUL amp using El84 tubes.
 
That does look like an interesting project and uses all the tubes I already have. The EF86 version is where I'd go with it. Thanks.
 
Kegger helped me tweak my ST70 with a VTA board - it's a fantastic amp, and I also think of his help any time I am really enjoying how great my stereo sounds.
 
I'm wondering, how would one choose OT to build one of presented designs?
Primary and secondary impedance and output power rating plus frequency response specs can be used but each transformer will perform differently, mostly in stability respect.
