Is this on all inputs? Or just FM/AM? If everything is dead you would get a better response in the Kenwood or Solid State forum.

Look on the back of the receiver. You'll see RCA jacks labeled "PRE OUTPUT" and "POWER INPUT". If there are no jumpers present (see photo link) you will get nothing out of the speakers because the power amp isn't receiving a signal.
