Kid aker's system's

Its pretty neat, sounds clear and crisp. Mine has a normal wooden top and sides, though you cant really see from the picture I took. Have my speakers hooked up to the pioneer now though, I have a thing for amplifiers with giant volume knobs ;)

I started into audio stuff when I was about 13. Right now I'm 20 and about to turn 21 next month! Below are systems that started 3-4ish years ago in high school. Like you, I have always been interested to hear about other people my age who are into audio. It wasn't until college until I found other people with the same passion/interest.

These are current pictures, taken within the past few days. I'm going to try and dig up some old ones for you.

Evan, I like your taste in ampage. The PC-2002 is a beast.

Thanks, David. I have the P2201, but regardless - still a beast!!! I have a very large room and that amount of power is actually very useful, it helps my big JBLs fill the room effortlessly.

It seems my muse is cheap headphones, as opposed to speakers or receivers.

Here's the latest member of the herd, MeElectronics HT-21. $36 shipped.

Yeah well, I let the guys over at Head-fi do the leg work and then I take their suggestions.

I got my first system when I was 16. Today, it'd be classified as vintage, but 31 years ago it was new stuff. I traded up my turntable in the spring of 1981, but I still have (and use on a daily basis) that Philips AF-829 and my original Sansui G-4700.

A picture of the turntable (not mine): http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&....16.16.0.0.0.0.108.1500.13j3.16.0.5p_Np_nw1sk
A picture of the receiver (again, not mine): http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&....23.23.0.0.0.0.194.2454.6j17.23.0.7mUCqYCI7jI

I'm not a kid by any stretch of the imagination, but it's good to see you guys getting into the hobby.
