KLH X (Ten?) Speakers

Has anyone ever heard of or heard these bookshelf speakers? There is a pair locally that have never been used...are they worth a listen or are they later model also rans? They might be KLH Research Tens...

Yes. I believe those are the 10's...the x types that I've seen looked awesome - I would pick them up if they are a decent deal right away!

The Research X was KLH's last decent speaker, IHMO, after Henry Kloss left the company. They were my first decent speaker, and still in use in my bedroom system. I made the mistake of replacing the original woofers instead of re-foaming, but they sound pretty good now with Advent woofers.

I had some that I traded for some Boston Acoustics...they had 2 tweets and the high end was unreal...cool looking too

Thanks for the replies, guys. These would be freebies as they belong to my mother in law. They have been sitting on shelves in a den, strategically covering screw holes in the wall since they were new. I don't believe they've ever been hooked up and they still look brand new. Probably would need refoam anyway. I'll definitely look into these...
