Klipsch Rebellion...

I like the idea and think it's a cool addition to the range.
An 8" woofer seams a bit measly without knowing more though.

Idea for a next one too early?
Here are a couple anyway:
A super efficient + compact-ish standmount (doesn't have to run deep) 2-way built around a K510 with a kick-ass 12" midbass.
And a standmount 3-way variant of that with an additional large low frequency driver.

And they could take a good look at the K402 MEH (diy) projects and develop a factory version.

I think SWL3600 might be alluding to what constitutes “Heritage”, which were PWK designs - and the bass horns are the only thing left of that. What does this box actually have in common with the H8?

Judging by the new 2-way LTD. closed-back Klipschorn and the Rebellion, I imagine that Klipsch/Bose, like most companies, will milk PWK and the Heritage line for as long and in as many ways as is financially feasible.

I haven’t been there in ages, but I bet that little that is currently on offer at KFC would be recognizable as edible by Colonel Sanders.

I've been looking at these myself and hope more information comes out soon.

Interested in seeing them in the advertised tiger maple finish (haven't seen any pictures of this finish yet).

I have other similar speakers like these (horn loaded with an 8" woofer) and really like the sound of them, hope these will follow suit at least if not surpass them.

Not being an ass: this is an 8-inch, ported, two way, with a horn loaded tweeter?

Is that $2500 special in any way?
They'd better sound at least as good as anything with a quality ribbon tweeter.

Although, that money is barely two car payments these days.

It's an $800 speaker if it was made in Asia that should be a $1500 unit, tops, accounting for USA wages, but there's an additional $1000 "heritage" tax on top of it. I guess they're banking on rubes shelling out for them to complete their AV setups or perhaps younger buyers hoping to get in on some OJAS free association.

The horn will sound quite different than a ribbon. You won't be glued to a seat or a narrow sweet spot but whether it sounds better is up to the individual. A two way with a ribbon usually has a higher xo point as well so how's that midrange doing through the woofer?

They need a limited production in battleship gray...some sort of Iconic looking bookshelf to continue to honor Jim Lansing.

Yeah, I know. Horns can out you 'front row at the jazz club', but ribbons are so damned sexy.
For $2½G these things better do both
