Near Big Bend

Here's one I took Mid February somewhere south of Alpine heading towards Big Bend and Lajitas. What was funny was 10 minutes before this was taken, just maybe 6 miles north, it was 20 degrees colder and snow and ice covered the vegetation.

All pics were taken with a D5000 Nikon and a Nikkor 18-55mm VR AF-S lens that came with the camera. I usually use the landscape or portrait scene setting. Wish I could offer more details than that.
These newer cameras with all the auto settings make it so even a maladroit such as myself can take a decent photo once in a while!
