Landscapes

A lot of great shots on here! We just did our first family vacation not long ago so I'll post a few, but go easy, I'm super rusty with the camera.

Tioga Pass

306, is that somewhere up in Canada? Looks like some wild and beautiful country!

It sure is, that was along the Glacier Park Highway in Alberta. Peyto Lake was the first picture (no PS work, it is that green!) and the second two were Bridal Veil Falls.

Now I just wish the upload hadn't bastardized the photo quality.

Sometimes it's hard to imagine the scope of size in photos. That boulder off to the right is the size of a two story house. From where I took the photo and to the base of the mountains, the Palisade Glacier rises nearly 1400 feet in elevation. The mountains themselves rise almost another 1000 feet from that point. Four of those mountains are over 14,000+ feet high. I got up Mt. Sill, the one on the left.

5 minutes from my house. I have a question, How do I make the pictures appear full size, so they don't have to be clicked on?

Disher... to show an image, it has to be an image file (jpg, gif, png) and not a htm or html.

Try right click, copy then add the tags.

Cool pics by the way and welcome to AK!

Click on the quote button on the right side of my post. It will show you the right text. Also you can add images as attachments by going to the Go Advanced button > Manage Attachments.
