Yes they are "Made In England" and I have not hooked them up for a
listen. I have 2 kids that have school tommorow I'm trying to get calmed
down. Anyway, SWMBO gets ill if I crank the music at night.
Who knows where they have been or how they ended up at that thrift
store. Maybe sitting in a church or University storage for years and finally
they needed the room? Could be they are blown? Wish me luck they are
not and I will hook them up after changing the tires on my mower and cutting
grass in the morning.

has JBL L -36's and my living room system that I have been waiting to
redo consists of a pioneer sx 780 and cheapo med homemade bookshelfs.

I KNEW that name sounded familiar for some reason. Bet my boss knows him (he knows pretty much everyone in the music business in this area). Especially since my boss used to run sound at a Cartersville night-club for quite a while...
Yep, those are definitely Goodmans Axiom drivers... used to have a pair of the Axiom 301 12".

Thanks Gordon, I appreciate it. I have learned a lot from your older posts
while searching for information about this speaker or that one. One of my good
friends went to Cartersville HS late 70's early 80's and played the drums
in the marching band and still plays with a rock band today. I will ask him about
Dobbins, he may know him.
Kbott, I will think about those cabs. It's pretty tempting as I have some
woofers that need a home. What do you power yours with? Thanks
Ok, I hooked them up and at first they were loud and pitchy like a PA
speaker. I opened the garage doors to let some sound waves out and much
better. Then I found the phase switch was out and WOW they really sound
good. Bass is deep and low, vocals are precise and the highs are airy.
Mid range just average and seems lacking but most likely that's because
of the ipod and 20 watt technics receiver I am testing it with.
That and the garage echo. I bet once I get these inside and hooked to
a better amp and source they are going to be keepers for sure. Maybe I
just became a full range fan:scratch2:
