Wow, kbott, that's one hekuvan offer for those cabinets. HatchetJack, those speakers will probably sound fantastic in the correct cabinets. Of course, it sounds like the cabinets that the drivers are currently in were built by a well-known fixture around Georgia, so they are probably built correctly.

Chillin' The Most
Spent the better part of today recovering the grills with some fabric from
Hobby Lobby. He sure didn't design these with service in mind. The frames
were glued in along with 21 flat head screws, about a box of staples
and also attached to a mid brace. I found an error I think as both woofers
were installed with the little tweeter horn up and down. I noticed when I
first listened to them the sweet spot was very small so I rotated them 45*
when I reinstalled them. Kbott I think I will just keep these cabs but thanks
for the offer.

I assume there are capacitors in the crossover. If they are the electrolytic type they may need to be replaced unless of course everything is working properly now.

Are you shure you just did not have the speakers right side up? Sounds more plausible.
Back in the golden days this triax format was amazing no issues with driver placement, etc. to deal with. Just throw them in an infinite baffle or vented/ported cabinet that was well braced and go to town. Many of the big name companies these and 2-way systems and the construction was more than amazing.
