Lets see all them Amplifiers!

Fred,

Thanks for the information. :thmbsp:

Stay away from the CC series (AC30CC2 - AC30CC2X)

They're only one channel with no top boost and they have issues with the Rectifier tube circuit.

The one you want is the AC30C2X (Like mine!).. 2 Channels - Top Boost - Tone Cut and Celestion Alnico Blue Speakers.

The AC30C2 is identical in every way except it has Celestion Greenbacks

Don't usually make it down this far when visiting ak and just found this thread....thought I would add one of my amps. '66 Princeton Reverb on top of a Vibratone. In the closet are a '66 Vibrolux reverb and a '65 Vibro Champ.

All thats left of a fairly large collection back in the 80's.

My three favorite amps. A '70 Twin Reverb, a '73 Super Reverb and a '77 Bandmaster Reverb.

I'm just staring out and through my own short comings have had a difficult time with a couple of amps. I now have a Blackheart HD running through a Marshall cabinet. My playing is not good but the sound is or can be:D. Preston

Peavey 6505 USA 2x12 combo and Framus Cobra halfstack. Had many Marshalls, Mesa's and others over the years. Tubes or nothing, thew only exception was a Sunn Beta Lead 2x12 combo I had many years ago. Best SS amp I ever heard and the reverb was lush

I had a Sunn Beta Lead a million years ago (mid-80s?), I think...did the speakers point slightly inward, towards each other? My current favorite SS amp is my modded Pearce G1...I'd love to try a G2 and/or G3.

I can't believe no one's posted a Dr Z yet. Well here's mine. The loudest 18 watts I've ever heard. Enjoyed viewing the great old school stuff.

I guess I'll get my bit started...

78~79 VibroChamp, modded to the tits...it can do anything from tweed to sf along with triode/pentode modes for 6V6/6L6 and different tone stack/nfb options to boot. It sits on a 1989 Mesa 50cal+ that is essentially the way it came from the factory and gets played every day.

I need to gather amps from my various hidey-holes and take more photos. I still have my 1973 Marshall SB full stack (turret board) with the old greenbacks, all just fine and some other Fender and just plain wierd ****. That said, I need the time to do it as well but...soon!

Very cool amps! I love the "just plain weird ****" personally.

One other thing, right on having the original Super Bass and cabs yet. I am still upset with myself for selling an all original Marshall Major and original 4x12 cab with 25 watt greenback that I had gotten from a friend who bought it new. One I wish I still had......

Ok, here's a few of them..
