My end of the practice space. It all looks prettier with the right head sitting on the right stack but you get the picture. When we play out I use all of this. Doom!
Another Ampeg fan!
I'd almost give my left nut to have my V4 cab back. It had original CTS speakers and was the best 4x12 I've heard to this day. I did load it with 417 Altecs but went back to the CTS' as they just sound better in the cab to me.
I make do with my VT-22 2x12 cab for now until I can track down another V4. Had an array of different V series heads but found the 4x10 VT-40 to be one of my favorites.
For me, Traynor heads and V4 cabs are made for each other.
I have a Sound City SC-120 I have to rebuild, once done I will score a V4 to put it on.....
Here's a pic of the VT-22 2x12 with my Traynor YSR-1 on it....

Yeah my "practice amp" VT-22 is so damn versatile. I'm in love with it after many years. I have a small collection of BK butler real tubes and tube drivers that I put in front of the VT-22 and I'm in heaven with the combo. I will either drive the power section hard or use a BK Butler type preamp/pedal nowadays although the ampeg pre is nothing to scoff at. If you look on the left of the picture I have two more V4 cabs stacked up in the corner.
I did notice those V4's in the corner....making a trip to Sin City soon.....? :thmbsp:
I've had the VT-22 combos as well. The VT-22 I have now is just a closed back 2x12. It's stock and not a chopped combo.
Ahhhhhh...... EXTENSION CAB! I missed that part. The VT-22 extension cab is a rare bird. Very cool!
