Here's one I've had for quite awhile. These Marshall Classs 5s don't seem to get much love these days. There was a surge of people buying them the first couple of years they were on the market, but I don't think they did what everyone expected from a 5 watt Marshall at the time, big Marshall sound at low volumes. However, they do what they do pretty well, IMO. To me, they're like a modern day Fender Champ. Clean at lower volumes, overdriven when pushed. Probably not what you want when playing with a full band or playing at TV listening volumes, but they do what they do well.

High on my list of gear I regret selling during a well-intentioned but foolish in hindsight gear purge is a Marshall Class 5.

In fact, every piece of gear in this photo was a victim of that purge.

I can understand. I purged mine as well at one point to help buy a Princeton Reverb RI. I missed the C5 and bought another a few years ago.

Which Tele is that, CVC, MIJ, AVRI 62, or AO? I have a bound American Original 60s; it's not going anywhere until I'm gone.

I had one too, and modified two of them : one with the reverb facility (for me) and one without it (for a friend)...

Here's mine, the reverb version :

Once modified, my PLEXI 5 offered what was cruelly missing to the Class 5 : the tone of a big marshall at affordable volume...

Those are some really cool mods, I really like what you've done! I like mine stock, but wouldn't mind having a second one set up like yours.

Its actually double-bound, but hard to see from the picture. Its a solid body Squier Classic Vibe 60's Custom. Luckily I was able to replace this one, as they pop up for sale on the used market fairly often in my area.

I've only played on bound semi-hollow Teles. I still like the solid-body ash, maple fretboard sound the best.

Yes. Some of my guitars and amps had to go : I had too much gear, and since I didn't played in bands anymore... There's still some to sell : nobody is interested at home !
