Yes indeed @Mr Boochie ! Incidentally and conversely, look at the RUST in a modern Magnatone Panoramic Stereo, that I discovered nearly everywhere inside the non-treated chassis, in a friend's amp (below)...
When asked about this problem, Magnatone (USA) answered me that "no worry, it would not compromise the operation of the amplifier"... C'est ça, ouais !
At a mere price tag of 4000 Euros...
... It's simply and absolutely UNACCEPTABLE !

I guess it's only surface rust. It doesn't look pretty, but prolly doesn't affect the performance too much.

I don't play, but I built these for two of my boys to go along with the guitars I made for them.
The "Fender Bender" - A 5 watt single ended amp with an EL34 based on the P1 Extreme built on a 1939 Stromberg Carlson chassis with original PT, stuffed in an American Bosch radio box that both belonged to my father:
The "V18 Special Edition" - An 18 watter with two EL84s based on the Hoffman Stout, with a custom curly maple box:

Looks like you got that one off of Reverb. Nice looking amp. Care to share the specs on that? Wattage, weight, tubes and anything else you might care to.

Actually, I'm the one that built it. It's a 5E3 circuit, mostly NOS components, a couple NOS 1965 Jensen C12R speakers, and a lightweight Pine cabinet. 1950's NOS tubes. Philco 5Y3/RCA 6V6 GTY's/RCA 12AY7/RCA 12AX7, I never weighed it, but it was lighter than my BF Deluxe Reverb.

I think it's a 5-watt EL84 SE amp. Prolly you get enough crunch overdriving that one output tube, without a variable master gain stage.
Yes, it has no Master Volume and yes, it is a 5-watter amp... But a loud one !
That's why I installed a Master Volume on mine, while it came factory-fitted with the Power Attenuator option (the last series of Class 5). I also added a Reverb facility, a Bright and a Boost facilities - So for this DIY revised version, I changed the model name for PLEXI 5 :
I also changed the original speaker for a Celestion G10 GreenBack :
The Big Vintage Marshall Tone in a compact, lighweight unit...
Indeed the Class 5 is an underrated amp, but the V1 issued (wood back with lower slot port) was hell-ridden by unacceptable adverse vibrations and noises... And this plagued irremediably the reputation of the model, despite the issue of improved V2 and V3. Too bad for a real attempt to make a "little 1974-meet-a-JTM45" that had the sound !
