Over the years, Linn has different specs so it depends on the vintage and specs.
Have you set up the table before?
If not, it might be worth it to locate an experienced Linn set up person to avoid a learning curve.

Always work on the assumption that you will be replacing the springs, grommets, nuts, any less than perfect suspension bolt, oil and the belt.
Oh.. also, the felt mat. Old ones sound nasty. ( I usually replace it every 1.5 year or so )
In addition to the above info, the arm board has changed over the year also. ( current one is three layer laminate with longer bolts )
FIY, I paid 850$ for a stripped down LP12 put together by a local Linn pro 4 years ago. It consisted of refinished plinth ( old one with kickstand holes ), Bask PSU ( new ), Basik Plus arm, Linn K9 cartridge. Pre-Cirkus, but it has a Nirvana mechanicals with new tune up parts.

Thanks Kuma that link was very informative. I have seen some on ebay but after reading that link not sure about buying one from there. I have never set one up, not really sure where I would go. I live in New Hampshire there's only one place I know that kind of deals with turntables, guess I'll start there.
A Sondek is really a simple mechanical device and looks pretty straight forward.
You can purchase/download a set up booklet, but after witnessing several set ups by pros, there is a learning curve to be had and that's something you learn by doing the setups a lot. You also need some sort of jig to get an access to the underside of the table easier and get the perfect bounce off the deck off the springs and right arm cable dressing under neath ( infamous P-clip )
Buying a second hand table at ebay is always a risk since there is no way of knowing the condition of bearing or arm.
I don't mean to scare you or anything but I wanted to raise a flag before you put down your hard earned dollars.
Also, note that if the table is not set up correctly, it can drift in reltaively short period of time. If it's set up right in the first place, it stays in tune for a long time.
As you've noticed used Linn is plentiful and if it could be set with a great care, it's a good way to get a timeless classic table for relatively cheap.
