Lost my dog, Sassy, last night...

Sandy, we lost a dog during a heavy thunderstorm. She bolted through a screen door and was never seen again. A young female ****-zu, Yingsu's Golden Sunshine, also know as "Poppy"

Our thoughts for are with you and the pup for it's safe return.

edit:

I feel I need to edit this post, for I am not trying to sound negative. Poppy was lost during a very heavy rain, with hail included. I noticed hail falling and that my car was in the driveway. I opened that screen door, to move my car, and that's when she bolted, best we could figure. It was flash flood type rain, with heavy lightening. We can only think that she was washed away.

Fireworks are a different story. She'll be back.

i hope you dog comes home soon!!!!!

Sandy, when i was young our family dog took off during a rainstorm. I don't quite remember why. He lost is scent and was lost.

Two weeks, yes thats 14 days, later. He showed up at my grandparents house on the other side of town. I have no clue how he knew where he was. He crossed some very busy streets, and somehow found his way.

Dogs are very smart and persistent. Give her time.

Well, I DID call the street dept-they pick up trash, dead animals, asked them if they remembered picking up a small-medium sized dog last several days. They didn't, so at least THAT'S good news...

Sandy.
Is there any chance there is a local craigs list??
Still sending karma but cl might help.
Good Luck!!
John

Sandy, if you haven't already done so, you should print out some flyers with the dog's photo on your computer and get them posted everywhere in town, stuff them in mailboxes too, and at the dog shelters, and offer a reward - and put an ad in the local pennysaver/newspaper.

And I'd also spend an hour or so every night driving around the area seeing if you can spot the dog.

Excellent Thoughts!

Very sorry to hear this Sandy. I've been absent from the internet and most of my other everyday normal activity for the past week and just now reading this thread.
I hope that this somehow turns out to have a happy ending and Sassy comes home.

Well...Had some good news, then some bad. Got a call at work, my cousin thought she'd seen Sassy down near the hospital. Called my ex-G/F, asked her to keep an eye out. Went down there after work, no soap. Went home at supper, got a call from my sister. Sassy's in the middle of the road far end of town, dead. Lauriann loaded up a box, we went to get her. Drive down there once, twice, 3 times, 4 times, all over the 2 subdivisions down there, no dogs, dead or otherwise, to be seen. I don't know....This is getting weird...I'll call the street dept tomorrow & see if they got her, after all...Still hopin' against hope, though...
