Lost my dog, Sassy, last night...

Sandy,

Sorry to hear this. Nothing much left to be said as others have done so already but I feel your loss, and the memories of great pet will never fade.

Barry

So sorry the story ended this way, Sandy. I know there will be other dogs, but each one is unique and special.

Sorry to hear it, Sandy. :sigh: I hope one of your friend's puppies can find it's way into your home & heart, & ease your pain.

...One of the street dept people came by & told Lauriann he picked up Sassy last night around 6 PM. At least now we know...
Sorry to hear all that, Sandy. I hope you're doing ok.

Be grateful for the street dept person who took the time to actually come and tell you. I don't know if that kind of thing happens routinely where you are, but most places, it doesn't anymore.

Well, I still have Gomez, The World's Meanest, Nastiest, Most Awfullest Chihuahua...But HE'S missed her, too. My buddy Walter, one of his dogs just had 6-8 pups...They're curs, too, but one might find its way over here...

I know what you meen about the chihuahua Sandy, we've had one for about 13 years. Even though he's old and broken down, he still rules the back yard. He's too damned stubborn to potty train, so he lives out back in his pimpin' little penthouse, heater and all. I'm affraid we're going to have to put him down soon, we're not lookin' too forward to it, but he's just not gettin' around too good. We also have a Mini Dachshund (Kujo) which we've bred with Doodle (the Chi). We tried one more time and if Kuj takes, one would be yours. They make a great couple, I'll post pic's.

I know there are no words that can make things better, time will be the only thing that can do that. There is no replacing your friend, just remember there are many animals at shelters today that need you, and your capability to share your feelings.:thmbsp:

Guys, I'm moved almost beyond words-but not beyond tears-over all this. I told the Rabbi-another dog man-the thing that I guess bothered me the most was her dying ALONE, scared, & in pain...I hope she got taken quickly & didn't suffer long. She was about 9-10, I never knew how really old she was, I got her at a pound about 3 yrs ago. The only comfort I have was that her last 3 years were happy & well-fed ones. RIP, Sassy...You won't be bothered by thunderstorms or fireworks any longer...

Sorry Sandy... I didn't read down far enough... from one dog person to another, I am sorry about Sassy and I feel your pain...
Brian
