My knickers are not in a knot on this issue as you would like it to appear - in fact I have espoused no personal overt value judgement on the OP's topic or sexism in general which you have inferred/attributed to me - but you have been overtly dismissive of a 'possible' point of view or alternative rhetoric that does not conform to your way thinking (I can only estimate from your writing) which from what I can only assume makes you uncomfortable - you raised guilt, not me - In addition, you stated
which only strengthens my original post as; lord forbid those who swim up stream - you don't think that it is good to have dissenting opinion to your own? But as I said I have offered no opinion, merely observations for your consideration and a little support to those that want or wanted to be heard but could not because of the hilarity "us sexist phift" slap downs - I suggest you re-read the thread. As to hitting a nerve, nope, just my internal smile button
.
Anyone might think you where trying to unsettle me by being sexist
Rob
This strikes me as sexist if taken at face value.

I didn't say your partner's comment was sexist. Did I hit a nerve there?![]()

I'm not encouraging anyone to do so, but this thread begs the question. Quite frankly, this discussion has gotten ridiculous. Why does something that never was an issue suddenly become an issue? Why do we need to make a mountain out of an ant hill?
