After researching the internet and with AI help, there is no service manual available, so I believe that I am alone in this.

I decided to post here the L-560 restoration, maybe I can get some insights from those who worked in this unit before. I will post step by step with pictures, what I did, and the challenges I encountered along the way.

Some of you will say Good luck, Yes, I will need it once, no service or diagrams. It will be a long journey, I am stopping working on this unit several times to restore other units, right now I have a Pioneer M25 and after that I have a Luxman L530 and then a Sansui AU-11000.

Soon, I will post some progress here

I gave a pause to this L-560 restoration to give priority to 2 Pioneer M25, and a Sansui AU-11000, now I am back in it's reatoration. I will post the issues that I found in this unit.

Some pictures of the L-560.

Working now on the Drive reg PCB. If you see the glue in the components, there is glue in every board. This takes a long time to clear, because the process can damage the board. Replace caps and test all the components.

Finish the drive reg board, all caps replaced, and all components tested. Pictures are below. As you see, all the glue was removed or a great part of it, there was even in the traces.

The L-560 is done, but I need information on how to set the EQ, BIAS, and DC Offset. There is no manual

Should be very similar to 550, if not the same. https://www.hifiengine.com/manual_library/luxman/l-550.shtml (file too large to attach, so happy to send to an email address). Also here Elektrotanya for electronics experts

You may also search and ask at Hans Hilberinks site & message boards

Thank you, I get back this when I finish the Sansui AU-X1

Good luck and hope it's similar enough. No add'l info, but some pretty pictures of the 560 here: Luxman L-560 – komplett revidiert
Thank you, it is similar, but you have to take caution, the manual says the BIAS has to be set at 160mV between the 0.22 ohms emitter resistor, which is wrong, the safe value for the BIAS if you measure in only one resistor should be between 22 and 30mV, I have set mine to 25mV, and it is very stable with a difference of 0.6mV between channels, this idelling about 2 hours, and DC set to 0.1 mV.

This thing looks like a Christmas Tree :rflmao:

After extensive testing, I found an issue with the selector switch. Now, I will have to disassemble it and fix it. The power supply, pre-drive, drive, pre-amp, and power amp are working fine. Just the switch that is located in the back of the amp.:mad::mad::mad:
