Factory/service center has their own tool and procedure which is not available for customer

AC told me they can "trick" the unit in to connecting whatever that means. No way I'm sending these units of mine on such a journey just for the USB.
OP I hope your unit continues to perform but I will say that both of mine worked great out of the box then one day just quit. Ehh dac technology gets outdated fast anyway right? I use an Oppo Sonica on one system and I believe it sounds better than the onboard dac did.

Its more the procedure, I am doing this type of thing on a daily basis with other makes with factory support being an authorised service tech.
