Magnavox AstroSonic with 9300 amp

the “wiring flow chart” really just shows how the components are connected to each other..speakers multiplex, amps, etc. It doesn’t show anything particular about the components or capacitors. I have been able to find film capacitors which I believe are called orange drops with matching MFD and V but from what little I understand about these, they aren’t polarized.

They don't have to be polarized so you're in business...

I would just mark the polarity side with a permanent marker like it was polarized so you know what direction it should be in if you or someone else should need to work on it again...

I just wanted to see the writing on the flow chart mainly Thank You

Those are obiously replacement caps. The voltage rating is not critical as long as it's as high as the originals were. Those are probably fine and not in need of being changed, if the unit passes music OK and other voltage checks are good.

My Maggie 175-67 had some of those exact Caps too they matched the picture in the SAMs too.

They are very popular as stand alone units for stereo enthusiasts, having had a few and read TONS of threads on them I don't ever recall someone utilizing it for guitar duty.

Nice amp and congrats on your acquisition of it!!!

Ummm me... I use mine for acoustic guitar...

The pizo electric acoustic guitar pickup is a different beast entirely than the solid body electric electromagnetic pickup...

It's way more suitable to use hifi equipment for piezo acoustic electric guitar amplification...

So ya it's a thing for acoustic players of folk, country, jazz and blues music... And for those who like their guitar music mostly undistorted...

It's a good clean tone that pairs well to the acoustic guitar...

Just curious, why a stereo amp? Why not a mono push pull amplifier? Using a stereo amps both channels for a single guitar is still mono.

Because I have two entirely different signals the guitars pickup and a microphone...

Those 2 sources sound different and are equalized and processed slightly differently to blend together as stereo like a keyboard dose...

So even though I am only playing one guitar it's a stereo effect like double tracking or bi amps... It increases the depth and fullness of the sound subtly...
