Magnepan .7s in the cave!

I’ve had these for a month and a half now, and I recently added a 2nd Def Tec Super Cube II. Yes, it took a lot of searching to find one locally that worked.
OMG! This system is mind boggling in my space. The dual subs have live theater presence. You can feel it in your bones! It was great with the single sub, but now, I’m gob smacked! The .7s are insanely good. My buddy was over last week and I gave him a half hour demo, and he was like holy ****!
I wish my space was large enough for 1.7s, but I’m beyond happy with these! They currently are the main speakers I listen to, prolly 95% of the time. They’re like a friggin drug, just can’t get enough of them.
Hope you all had a great listening weekend, and anyone along the eastern coast, that you’re ok.
Cheers, Glenn

Wondering, Glenn do you think the fact that they are dipoles plays a major factor in your preference?
Where do you cross to the subs?
I've not tried any dipoles but it has been on my mind for a long time.

Not much going on here in Stamford, CT some wind maybe 20 MPH with some gusts and light rain on and off.

2!! of them DT's!!! hah ... I can't even find one in Dallas of the II's. LONG time searching. Was smiling hearing your review of them. You effected by all that rain up there?

Garry~

I think I'm going to go for a demo of these at a local dealer.
Do they produce a solid center image?
I talk about it here:

This guy says they do not:

Hi Pete,
Perhaps. The soundstage is so dimensional, my ADSs, really any box speaker I have can’t do what the Maggie’s do.
Subs are crossed 80hz. Relieves the low end allowing the .7s much higher output.

Good to hear you’re not being impacted by the storm. Luckily, pretty much the same here.

Keep looking! One will show up!
The rain hasn’t been as bad as we thought, but pretty windy. Lots of downed branches, areas that lost power, but we’re good.

Are the .7 s a big upgrade over the LRS? When I looked at the LRS the bass looked to roll off around 200 Hz!

Center imaging is outstanding. I have mine setup with the tweeters on the outside, broadens the sound stage and sweet spot.

I haven’t heard the LRSs, but they are the same size as my MMGs were.
I loved the MMGs, but the .7s are so much better. Their size increase's every aspect, just superior overall presentation.
