Hoping to be first in line to look at a Marantz 1520 for $30.
I've never seen one of these and I'm thinking anything Marantz is worth $30. Opinions?

It's only 20 watt/channel, but if that's enough to float your boat, go for it. If you don't like it flip it on ebay for a quick $50.

I'm new to the gang, so hello everyone!

I recently got into vintage equipment, and my first Marantz is a 1520 that I bought about a month and a half ago. I paid $100, which I now know is probably more than I should have paid. I paired it with a BIC 940 turntable and some Advent Baby II's, and so far I enjoy the sound very much and for my bedroom set-up it has good power. But in the last couple of days the volume seems to go down for a bit on the left channel, so I may have to have it looked at.

Does anyone have a user manual they can scan and upload to the database?

There is a dedicated Marantz section that may be able to help with this better than this Dollars and Sense section - which is more about value. Also, the vintage solid state section has plenty of repair advice!

Thanks, I'll look in those sections!
