Marantz 6300 Value?!

As a matter of interest I was following this item on ebay. Table looked to be about a 6/7 out of ten and I was curious what it might bring. Looks like a sellers market is alive and well.

Dang. There was one on a local CL curb alert recently. I raced over to the address, but there was a guy already picking it up. That's a crazy price. Maybe it's time to start unloading some Marantz gear. The market is ripe!

Marantz tax. Lotta money for a CEC turntable with a Marantz logo on it. Don’t get me wrong - it’s a nice turntable, just not that nice IMO.

Hope I'm not thread-cr***ing here, but does anybody know anything about a Marantz 6370Q? I have a line on one but have never seen one before and know nothing about it. Was this Marantz's entry into the SQ, QS, CD-4 4-channel world?

It's tax refund season. Best time to sell except for Nov. which is pre Christmas season. Best time to buy is after Dec. 25 to Feb.

the 6300 is CD-4 compatible with a quad cartridge usually a shibata and was made before the 6370Q i believe. i dont know if the 6370Q is CD-4 compatible as it was manufactured toward the end of the quad period and low capacitance wiring is needed for CD-4 . you can use any turntable and stylus for SQ and QS LPs. i use my 6300 with an AT 15sa cartridge for my CD-4 / quad set up and it is excellent
