Marantz "certified" bs!!
There hasn't been anyone associated with American Marantz since Saul reissued the 7. If I read between the lines the 'bayer lied to the poor engineer and is proud of it.
The 7 is an ok pre, but too noisy for moving coils. The 8 is spectacular. I don't think there was any special synergism in the air. Pair the 8 with an ARC SP3A or 5C and let the magic begin.
