Good deal. There was one for sale in Bartertown once I wish I'd snagged. This one here looks to be in really nice condition. Supposedly an idea ahead of its time in this iteration but collectible and just a neat turntable all around.

I ended up buying this table from the guy in Holland and it has been fantastic. That being said, I'm having a slight issue with the platter now and figured I would humbly solicit some advice from anyone willing to help.

Lately, when I turn on the table, the platter is rubbing against the base (even when I have no record or mat on). I bought a bubble-level for the table the day I bought it and check it every time I play records so I know it is not just a leveling issue.

Clearly, the platter is riding too low-- but before I go snooping around the labyrinth underneath with the service manual to make any adjustments, I figured I would see if this issue sounds familiar to anyone else. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

I would check the bearing and the oil level in the bearing well. I don't think the platter is really anywhere near the suspension on this table. Maybe the noise is from lack of lube. My suggestion is based on installing the platter on mine after it was shipped to me and the bearing well was rather dry. The bearing should be .281 inch dia.

Thanks for the heads up-- I'll make sure to check the bearing and oil level. The only problem is that the noise isn't internal, it's coming from the rim of the platter where it meets the black metal housing on top of the table-- basically the platter isn't clearing the table's top as it is spinning. The sound is metal-on-metal so I wonder if there is a suspension issue of some kind.
