Spark, I just reread the post and of course you're right in what you said. The bla bla bla comment was a bit snarky.Sound like more do this, do that, blah blah blah garbage.
Just about everybody recommended more power.
I understand this is a new member so I apologize.
It seems so simple that I got irritated.
The OP Rates his sound quality 7/10, not very good, thats in my world.
He has a reasonable set of speakers that drink power.
He likes tunes louder than the receiver can deliver and keeps running it to clipping smoking tweeters but likely cooking the varnish on all the voice coils.
And with all the massive input from the AK crew he ends up buying a preamp.
With a simple power upgrade from 1 of dozens of excellent receivers, for example a serviced Sanusi 7070 at 70 watts would make the 2000 look stupid and with that they could wake up the Celestion f30 to the point where he loves them, and needs nothing else.
He has a receiver, not an amp, so why not stick with a receiver.
But no, according to the crew, get an amp, use your preouts etc.etc.
And your snarky back at me? For my in the face response?
Ok.
Hope I didn't steer the OP into a McIntosh 2000 series, oh wait that was someone else.
